“It really grips you….I lost a lot of sleep reading it.” –Tim LaHaye, co-author of the LEFT BEHIND series.

THE WORLD IS ON THE BRINK.
It was the last peace, the great peace, the deep breath before the storm. The Golden Age was closing and the heavens paused and waited for the long plunge ahead. Some people saw it coming. But they were few.

The first episode of this geopolitical thriller sets up the start of an epic battle between Light and Darkness. Taking readers from Saudi Arabia to Israel to Washington D.C. and Chicago, Wrath & Righteousness is a frightening, torn-from-the-headlines peek into the future.

The forces of Darkness, personified by a mysterious old man, have focused their efforts on a Saudi Prince who is second in line to the Royal House of Saud. By tempting the Prince with power beyond his wildest imagination, Lucifer and his servants have secured all of the pieces necessary to unleash Armageddon, turn allies against each other, and bring down the West. Freedom’s only chance for survival rests with a group of people who do not even know they’ve been chosen for the job.

More than a simple techno-thriller, Wrath & Righteousness examines the eternal battle between Good and Evil while also asking one of the fundamental questions of our existence what is mankind’s relationship to the spiritual world? Packed with thrilling action and underscored by a timeless story of war, love and spirituality, Wrath & Righteousness has been described by #1 bestselling author Glenn Beck as “The Left Behind series for a new generation.”

Wrath & Righteousnessis a ten episode e-book series by Chris Stewart, a world-record-setting Air Force pilot (fastest nonstop flight around the world) and New York Times bestselling author of several books, including The Miracle of Freedom. Each episode is approximately 50,000-60,000 words (roughly two-thirds the length of a normal novel). This series was adapted and updated from the previously published The Great and Terrible series that was released from 2003-2008.

I was very excited to order and receive this series of books as I loved Chris Stewart's series called "The Great and Terrible." I was very disappointed when I started to read the first volume of the series "Wrath and Righteousness" to find it was all taken from Chris Stewart's first series. I would have never supposed that both series were the same story line and characters. There should have been a description telling the reader that both sets were the same story under a new series name that had been somewhat abbreviated instead of the reader thinking he was buying a
new series. I basically have paid twice for the same series.

Wrath Righteousness Episode One edition by Chris Stewart Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This is simply a rewrite of his earlier work "Great and Terrible" it has had a fairly
strong "Mormon Filter" applied to it. If you want to read the original work, get the
whole Great and Terrible series far cheaper here than the abridged redux. Sorry, Chris,
I am a fan, but I really don't get it..seriously.. what were you thinking? The series is
a good read, but you are cheating and deceiving your fans who liked "great and terrible" enough to buy
this book.
I read the entire 10? volume series of novels that this is the re-release of a few years ago. I bought it through Deseret Book and other LDS book stores. I couldn't get enough of it and was disappointed when they ended. Chris has a way of writing that draws you into the story as an observer and participant that I loved. This is the same novel set with a new cover. I recommend it to anyone who wants a thrilling ride through the end of times with a spiritual overtone.
The book is a good book. The story is great. The problem is that it is the exact same story as Chris's series The Great and Terrible. Some of it is word for word copied out of the other series. I thought I was buying something new. I have already read this story, and I was unfortunate enough to buy 4 of them before I even started reading because I liked his other series so much. How do you sell another complete book series under a different name, that is the exact same story? C'mon Chris, write something original. I will wait to get real reviews on anything else he comes out with before buying blindly, simply because his other books were good. You may just be getting the same thing with a different title. I am in the middle of book 3 and quit reading, I already know how it is going to end.
Looks like this Wrath and Righteousness series is the 6-book Great and Terrible series broken into 10 smaller, more expensive pieces with the LDS undertones removed. The Wrath and Righteousness series is twice the cost for less material. I have decided to purchase the Great and Terrible series for $28.49 and will finish that series instead. I am LDS and would like that perspective anyway. Looking forward to a great story...
First of all, I'm a fan of Glenn Beck. I admire his having the guts to stand up for what he believes to be right. I watched his program for years on CNN and FOX.

HOWEVER, the pricing on this series is an ABSOLUTE RIP OFF! I purchase hundreds of books a year because I spend major money on research and the sheer enjoyment of reading. One of the reasons I purchased the book was because Glenn Beck recommended it and the author is/was military. I initially purchased the FIRST BOOK in this series for KINDLE at $2.99 [GREAT PRICE] and was impressed with the descriptive writing, although the characterization is one-dimensional. That's the case in most "religious thrillers." But I was SHOCKED when the book ended at 152 pages. Okay, what can I expect for $2.99?

When I went back to and prepared to purchased the next book, I glanced over the remaining series and immediately started calculating what it would cost to purchase the entire series. FIRST MISTAKE [and it was my oversight] was that Books 1-5 are offered in a package deal for $10.99 with a total of 789 pages for all five books. HOWEVER, brand-new bestsellers with the same amount of pages sell CONSISTENTLY at $9.99 for . I did some quick math and realized that to purchase the entire series, and if you take advantage of the Book 1-5 deal, it will cost you $33.45 for approximately 1,356 pages. Book 9 does not list its pages, but I generously added in 150 pages. There could be more or less pages, but each book runs between 130 - 191 pages. THAT LENGTH IS MORE LIKE A PAMPHLET.

If you buy each book in the series separately, you will pay $52.40! THAT'S OUTRAGEOUS! Some of the BIGGEST VOLUME, BEST-SELLING BOOKS, such as PILLARS OF THE EARTH at 733 pages sells for $7.99; FALL OF GIANTS at 865 pages sells for $9.99 and even Ken Follett's latest WINTER OF THE WORLD at 832 pages sells for $19.99. BIG DIFFERENCE in the quality of characters and writing. Although I did not check, I seriously doubt that James Michener's mammoth-paged books are not priced at $34 and $52.

The book was not the sore disappointment, it was MERCURY INK's price gauging. I enjoyed the author and his storyline and at first glance the $5.39 per book [which inches up at you get closer to the end of the series] seems reasonable until you add the sum total. If MERCURY INK thinks they can dole out books with a little more than 100 pages in a book and charge people almost $6, when other TOP-BRAND BOOKS by TOP-BRAND AUTHORS go for $9.99, they need to rethink their strategy. The entire publishing world is recognizing the value of e-books, but come on, Glenn, don't get the reputation of being a rip-off publisher because of that revolution now happening in the publishing industry.

I'm not a penny pincher. I don't negotiate, but have always willing paid the asking price. I cherish the written word and have paid over $200 for out-of-print books on , but this borders on dishonesty to me and treating the reader as if he were ignorant when it comes to knowing anything about the pricing of e-books.
Very good book, an easy read, I finished it in a day. While I would love to finish the remainder of the series, the subsequent 9 books are $5.49 EACH! They're not even full length books!! They try to hook you with this first book then expect you to dole out another $50 to finish the story. It's got potential to be a great series, but the money they want for it is ridiculous. So unless you're ready to spend that kind of money for a good story, don't even bother reading this first book. If I'd had known how much the following books cost I would never have read this. Unfortunately, until the price comes down I won't be reading any further, and so my rating is only 3 because I'm so disappointed at the fact that I'm left hanging because I won't spend $50 for the rest of the story.
